Ventilation system for pigs housed in sections
Accurate ventilation with energy-saving air flow measurement for pigs housed in sections.
Read moreAccurate ventilation in a pig houses is vital. Poor air quality and temperature fluctuations cause problems in the house with disastrous effects on the health of your animals. Your aim is to create a uniform climate for all the animals in the house in all conditions. The optimal climate helps prevent respiratory disorders, ear and tail biting, a poor feed intake, slow growth, increased mortality rates and excessive soiling of the pens. All these aspects have a negative impact on your profitability.
Fancom offers an accurate ventilation system especially for pigs housed in sections - NatuFlow. Taking the age of the animals into account, the NatuFlow ventilation system automatically creates accurate ventilation, never too much and never too little. NatuFlow unites the advantages of natural ventilation, the so-called chimney effect, and mechanical ventilation in a single system. NatuFlow is suitable for sections housing fatteners, sows and piglets.
Energy efficient
In many situations, natural ventilation is enough to create a good house climate. NatuFlow only uses only uses additional mechanical ventilation in situations where there are insufficient natural air currents. This enables energy savings of up to 30%, while at the same time you can benefit from an optimal house climate. The system can be used with virtually all air inlet systems. The height difference between the air inlet and the air outlet creates the chimney effect required for good natural ventilation. The funnel shape of the ventilation chimney enhances this process. If the NatuFlow ventilation system is combined with the energy efficient I-fans, the energy savings can quickly add to up to 80%. A result that will reflect positively in your profits.

How does NatuFlow work?
When a NatuFlow system is used, a ventilation chimney is installed in the ridge of each section. The heart of the system is the ATM measuring and control unit that is suspended below the ventilation chimney by a handy click system. The patented linear airflow transmitter measures how much air is being ventilated in the section. In about 20% of the situations, this natural flow equals the ventilation needs of the animals in the house. In this case, NatuFlow deactivates the fan to achieve zero energy consumption.
Lower heating costs
NatuFlow will only activate the energy efficient fan if the natural ventilation flow is insufficient to create a good climate in the house. Even in this situation, the natural airflow will continue to be effective. The already efficient fan will use even less energy as it doesn't have to work so hard to create the same effect. If there is too much natural draught, NatuFlow automatically closes the vortex damper until the correct ventilation level is reached. This prevents warm air being extracted unnecessarily, prevent draughts and minimises the heating costs.
Healthy animals
Thanks to the reliable air flow measurement and accurate fan control of the fans, outside influences no longer impact on minimum ventilation. NatuFlow always ensures uninterrupted minimum ventilation to extract CO2, NH3, moisture and dust and introduce oxygen rich air. Outside influences are prevented, even if the wind is blowing directly onto the inlet or the chimney. The result is a constant air flow with any draughts. This automatically creates optimal environmental conditions in the house, so your animals can realise their full potential.
