New LPC printer from Weidmüller improves efficiency in our assembly department

We recently put the new LPC printer from Weidmüller into operation in our assembly department to encode components in the switch boxes we build for our customers. This ensures fast and error-free identification of the correct components when connecting wiring.

When building switch boxes, the components are usually labelled. Applying labels manually was a time-consuming and precise task. With the new Labelling Processing Centre, the components are labelled, printed and applied correctly immediately. The component is accurately labelled in a matter of seconds, making the process much simpler and more efficient. By simply scanning the barcode of a component, the system automatically retrieves the correct code, prints it and places the label in the correct location.

The system is easy to use and after a brief instruction, anyone can get started. The chance of errors is greatly reduced, resulting in a streamlined and uniform work process. This automation fits perfectly within Fancom's vision of ‘forward thinking’, in which we continuously work on saving time, structure and quality improvement in all our processes.
